Job Summary

Responsible for the supervision, direction, communication, and development of the Ready Mix (RM) plants.

Main Responsibilities

Leads plant personnel to ensure efficient operations of the facilities and deliveries to customers
Handles staff levels, schedules, etc.
Assesses and analyzes departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits
Identifies potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to improve efficiency and revenue
Finds opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market
Prepares sales forecasting
Coordinates yearly maintenance budget for RM department
Ensures universal policies and procedures are accepted and maintained throughout the RM department
Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and aligned with laws and regulations
Lead employee activities and provides mentorship where needed
Ensure job expectations are communicated clearly
Encourages a positive work environment and culture for all employees
Deals with customer complaints
Handles employee performance issues

Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business or Engineering
Proven track record in the field
Valid Driver's License
Good people and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong digital literacy
Confirmed ability to work with others as a team
Ability to strategize, plan, and implement
Able to succeed with minimal direction

Physical Requirments

Variable hours and shifts (including Saturdays as needed)
Work in varying weather conditions
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Out of town travel possible w/ trainings/seminars
Exposed to mechanical equipment and moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
Noise level is moderate
