Description of Job:
The Associate Product Manager provides daily support to the Product Manager. This role supports the
creation, development and commercialization of retail products throughout the product lifecycle, as
well as the continued management of existing products. Responsible for researching and identifying
market gaps, consumer trends and providing suggestions for current and future projects. Manage the
creation of necessary marketing assets to support go-to-market launches including; packaging, sell
sheets, training materials, video and images etc. Main point of contact for locating, updating and
communicating existing product specifications to sales, marketing and customer teams. The Associate
Product Manager will be tasked to ensure that the Enerco Group product line(s) is recognized as best in
class by resellers and end users in the industry for value, quality, selection, innovation, features,
reliability and ease of use.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the execution of daily tasks surrounding product portfolio management. E.g.
ensuring accuracy of existing product specifications and the dissemination of any updates or
changes accordingly.
• Receive, analyze, promote and present new project requests for appropriate stage gate and/or
further analysis.
• Investigate, verify and input product specifications into appropriate EGI data systems, as well as
providing completed data sets to sales, marketing and customer teams for retailer setup.
• Receive and direct sample requests including purchase orders and shipping requests to various
domestic and international suppliers and customers.
• Receive marketing requests and assist Graphic Designer with creation of product design assets.
• Work with product managers to develop annual promotion/communication/advertising plans for
their assigned product channels and customer accounts.
• Conduct data analysis from multiple sources and provide reports to Product Managers and
leadership teams. (e.g. market data, competitive information, etc.)
• Work with the Product Manager(s) to ensure all new and existing products continue to meet cost,
quality, and delivery targets. Provide consumers with the highest quality product experience with a
focus on sourcing and identifying new suppliers as necessary.
• Manage all product part numbers and sku creation by utilizing the company’s ERP system.
• Work with Operations on quality, on-time delivery, sourcing, packaging and product improvement.
• Ensure that all appropriate products are consistent in terms of packaging, product specifications,
marketing collateral, etc. for all domestic and international markets as necessary.
• Initiate and direct ongoing market research through direct customer contact and surveys, trade
shows and sales evaluations, monitoring competitors and industry trends, store visits and vendor
contact. Update competitor file quarterly.
• Understand the channels in which Enerco Group sells its products through (Retail, Rental,
Distributors, etc.). Understand the strategic difference between product lines and provide
recommendations accordingly.
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment with tight timelines and competing priorities.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
• 1-3 years’ experience in Product Design, Marketing, Product Management, or Product Development
with consumer or industrial products
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Organized, process and detailed oriented. Project Management skills a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – must be able to drive projects through multiple,
cross functional teams and present information to leadership teams.
• Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and
Microsoft Project)
• Adobe creative suite skills a plus.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills required.
• Strong mechanical and problem solving ability required.
• Ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and lead meetings is required.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift 40 LBS
• Walk/stand/sit for long periods of time
Work Environment: Office, but occasional warehouse/production areas
Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses required on production floor
