ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Accurately itemize and total customer purchases using a cash register following all company policies and procedures.
2. Collect money from customers and make correct change.
3. Obtain all necessary information on check purchases according to company policy.
4. Handle food stamp, coupon, credit card and other payment transactions accurately.
5. Lift and remove up to 25 pounds of merchandise from shopping carts and bag customers groceries correctly.
6. Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
7. Perform general housekeeping duties such as straightening store shelves, wiping down counters, and sweeping work area.
8. Able to re-shelve unsold merchandise.
9. Communicate effectively with the cashier supervisor and store management.
10. Able to stand for extended periods of time.
11. Able to walk, stand, stoop, bend and maneuver between aisles.
12. Able to work regularly and work a posted schedule which is subject to change as business dictates.
13. Follow company dress code policy and represent MGI with high standards.
14. Assist customers as needed.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. Perform all Cold Cut Department operations at the direction of the Cold Cut Supervisor
2. Perform daily inventories, check for product quality and maintain all tools, fixtures, and equipment.
3. Able to maintain scan look ups, scales, and over wrap film machines.
4. Assist Cold Cut Supervisor with vendor deliveries, record keeping and reporting.
5. Monitor freshness codes, perform cold chain temperature checks and adhere to
rotation guidelines.
6. Perform all required housecleaning and sanitation chores adhering to all federal, state
and local requirements.
7. Communicates effectively with Store Manager, Cold Cut Supervisor and fellow employees.
8. Provide optimum customer service levels .
9. Follow required dress code policy and represent MGI with high standards.
10. Able to lift and stack up to 40 lbs. of merchandise.
11. Able to attend work regularly and adhere to agreed upon work schedule.
12. Position is subject to transfer between stores.
13. Able to lift up to 75 lbs of merchandise.
14. Able to walk, bend, and stoop between aisles.
15. Position is subject to transfer between stores.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by store manager or corporate field support.
17. Follow all company policies and procedures, as stated in the employee handbook.
