LOCATION: Lima, Ohio 

 

PAY RANGE: 50k – 60k salary 

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

Compile and manage financial records to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other pertinent financial operations. Generate internal interim financial reports and reconcile annual internal financial statements with audited reports. Oversee and facilitate the annual audit process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Process and approve Corporate Payables daily. 

Process expense reports bi-monthly, auditing for accuracy and compliance with company policy. Approve compliant reports and collaborate with submitters to address non-compliant ones 

Assist Credit Manager with daily responsibilities as required, including collection calls, determining order release decisions and managing cash application. 

Monthly closing procedures. 

Maintain records of lease agreements and schedules needed for annual audit. Update payment amounts as required by lease terms. 

Oversee and administer the document management software for Accounts Payable (DocRecord) for all users, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise 

Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and execute required adjusting journal entries.  

Support finance team by providing accounting assistance and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards  

Visit plant locations at least annually to ensure compliance with general accounting requirements and systems. 

Assist Corporate Controller with various daily assignments 

 

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) 

2-5 years' experience in accounting and finance preferred 

Demonstrated time management skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines 

Maintain a confidential and professional work environment 

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights 

Strong organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting 

Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data to identify areas for improvement 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
