Who We Need

The Data ETL Specialist defines the client's data migration requirements, determines the process and tech stack required for end-to-end (E2E) data migration, and builds custom ETL scripts/tools and data validation reports to ingest data into product lifecycle management software.

This position requires an understanding of data schemas and bulk data-loading tools and techniques, and an ability to obtain a Secret clearance and acquire/maintain a DoD IAT II certification such as CompTIA Security+. The Data ETL specialist will be part of a broader solution team. Understanding of Agile software development is preferred.

The ideal candidate is located near Dayton OH to support future classified activities, configuration and data load work on client site. Full telework will be considered.

The ideal candidate has a good understanding of the product lifecycle management process and previous experience with PLM software. Experience with Siemens Teamcenter is preferred.

What You'll Do

Analyze, understand, and document incoming data sources from external clients

Facilitate the bulk migration of external data into Siemens Teamcenter by creating and documenting data-migration scripts and utilizing relevant APIs

Create reports to assist clients in data analysis decisions

Create technical documentation for data migration processes and utilities

Create test cases to support the generation of automation scripts

Test executed solutions and troubleshoot anomalies to resolution

Coordinate issue resolution with Technical Support and similar infrastructure / software support activities

Coordinate with Scrum Master, Product Owners, Information System Security Engineering (ISSE), Engineering Subject Matter Experts and Infrastructure/Network administrators on broader team to accomplish objectives

Your Qualifications

Required

US Citizen

Eligible and able to obtain a US Secret clearance

Able to acquire / maintain a DoD IAT II certification such as CompTIA Security+

2+ years of experience writing scripts in an established language - Python strongly preferred

Experience in analyzing and documenting incoming data sources, and mapping data points from sources to targets

2+ years of proven experience with Teamcenter PLM Data Migration

Proven, hands on experience in all phases of the ETL process

Experience in managing all business data migration activities including partnering with data analysts, business subject matter experts and respective workstream leads to prepare all data required for ingestion into target systems

Experience reading and understand API documentation

Experience creating documentation around tools and processes

Strong spoken and written English skills

Experience delivering presentations to clients

Adequate home working environment to include dedicated office-space to enable productive remote work

Desired

2+ years of SQL - Oracle or SQL Server (Complex data extraction queries)

4+ years of experience with large enterprise systems

Department of Defense experience, preferably the US Air Force

Agile software development experience

Experience using linters, formatters, and type-checkers to write well-organized code that complies with software-development best practices

Experience with Git or equivalent distributed version-control software

Experience with the Extract, Transform, Load phases of data migration to Teamcenter PLM

DevSecOps experience

Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms

Experience with PowerShell scripting

Experience with the Unix/Linux command-line
