Mental Health Therapist
1099 Independently Licensed Mental Health Provider for Private Practice

Job Type: 10-30 expected hours per week. Flexible work hours, full or part time, in person, virtual, or hybrid options available.
Compensation: $51-$72 per hour. This position offers competitive compensation on a 1099 contractor basis. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Independently Licensed Mental Health Provider to join our private practice team. As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality mental health services to individuals in need.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations to gather client information.
- Provide mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Complete thorough assessments to develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of mental health through ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice in the provision of mental health services.
- Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
- Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
- Providing referrals for additional care or services when required.
- Utilize crisis management techniques to support clients in times of emotional distress or crisis
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in maintaining electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices for treatment.
- Proficient in conducting mental health assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Familiarity with privacy, health, and safety laws.
- Computer skills to operate record keeping, scheduling, email, and word processing software.
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Familiarity with the ICD-10 diagnostic coding system. Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
- Current with all state licensing requirements, including LPCC, LICSW and LMFT
- Several years’ clinical experience
