Job Description

OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland-Cuyahoga County is sourcing an Advancement Coordinator for a Technology Educational Company in Downtown Cleveland. 

Position Summary
The Development Coordinator assists the Executive Director with day-to-day duties required to run Motogo
fundraising, events, and advancement to maintain organizational goals and metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Knows and upholds Motogo value of Equity, Working with Your Hands, Self-confidence, Authenticity, and

2. Assists relationships with donors.
3. Assists with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the annual Bringin’ Back Shop Class benefit.
4. Manages (in collaboration with the Executive Director) the implementation of the individual donor campaigns,
measurable metrics, and reports.
5. Works in collaboration with our Donor Database Management contractor to generate mailings, receipts, thank
you letters and other forms of correspondence.
6. Assembles documents for the Board Meetings.
7. Generates a report on fundraising for the bi-weekly team meetings.
8. Attends other area galas, fundraisers, networking events and fundraising professional development opportunities
to continue growing experience and knowledge on best practices.
9. Collaborates with our coaches to gather relevant program data needed for donor reports, grants, and graphics to
assist with producing our annual report.
10. Assists with monthly newsletters.
11. Collaborates with Social Media coordinators/coaches to create content related to current campaigns/events.

Technical Expertise
1. Experience working in non-profit support roles particularly in fundraising
1. Experience managing a campaign calendar and managing the preparation to ensure multiple events can happen
simultaneously
2. Experience writing communications to various groups such as donors, staff, Board, the community is required.
3. Experience managing relationships with clients and customer service is required.
4. Experience with start-up, high-growth, or fast-paced businesses and/or working with entrepreneurs is preferred
5. Experience working in a mission-minded environment is preferred.
6. Proficiency in Google suite and some knowledge of donor software (Donor Perfect, Little Greenlight), or the
willingness to learn quickly.

Education and Experience
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
● Certifications or licensure:n/a
● Years of relevant experience: 1-3 years required, 4 to 5 years is preferred.
● Years of experience supervising: None.

Employment Contingencies
● Must be able to pass the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation [BCI] and FBI background checks are required.
● Must be able to complete trauma-informed care training is required.
● Must be able to complete VIRTUS training for teaching in Diocese of Cleveland schools is required.
● Drivers’ license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the organization’s liability insurance
carrier is required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
● The work environment involves the everyday risks or discomforts of working in an office adjacent to a shop
environment, which includes the need for general safe workplace practices near hand and power tools,
avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of all fire and safety regulations.
● The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The noise level may be moderate to loud
when class is in session and due to co-working space with woodworkers
● This position is at times on-site at the office with flexibility to work from home.
● Work hours are generally Monday to Friday from 8:30a to 4:30p. Work schedule will vary based on programs,
grant cycles, and donor events.
● Some local travel by personal automobile and a valid State of Ohio drivers’ license is required.
● Lift objects of at least 40 pounds and carry them short distances [20 feet or less].
