What will I be doing?
The Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. The supervisor is responsible for supervising their assigned department within the distribution center in a manner consistent with company and department policy and procedures. You will be responsible for the following tasks and other tasks as assigned:

Perform other duties and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Complete all necessary records and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide input into the performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.
Participate in skill specific training for new hires to assist them in achieving performance expectations.
Establish productivity and quality standards for the department. Monitor performance of each team member.
Participate in establishing and implementing work schedules.
Ensure jobs and tasks are assigned effectively within the team, and are completed properly.
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and is in accordance with applicable OSHA standards.
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
Maintain clean, neat and orderly work areas and aisles throughout the distribution center.
Minimum of 90 percent of time spent on the production floor.
Conduct quarterly hazardous material training for new employees.
Prepare and deliver quarterly employee performance and production reviews with assigned employees.

What skills/experience do I need to possess?

Bachelor's degree in business management, operations/organizational management or a comparable field required.
3-5 years warehousing or similar experience.
Previous supervisory experience within a distribution or warehousing environment is a plus.
Specialized knowledge in an area of warehousing.
Certified to operate forklift.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Ability to read and comprehend customers' orders, bills of lading, etc.
Knowledge of SAP/WMS and experience using RF equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of computer software systems; Outlook, Excel, and Word is a must.
