OhioMeansJobs | Medina County, OMJMC, is recruiting on behalf of a Medina manufacturer.

Title: Machine Operator/General Labor

Shift: 1st Shift Monday through Friday | 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Starting Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00/per hour

General Overview
  • Machine Operator/General Labor position
Production equipment includes but not limited to:
  • Sewing machines and ancillary equipment
  • Bias cutting
  • Textile forming
  • Stamping presses and associated equipment
  • Spot welding
  • Light roll forming
  • Textile trimming
  • Rotary trimming
Work Activities
  • Operate production equipment for buff, brush and abrasive products
  • This position requires that full attention to the equipment performance is true, and that the process and equipment are in or exceeding tolerances
  • This position will be trained across all production equipment, not limited to just one machine or a single operation
  • Maintaining the condition and cleanliness of the workspace and equipment is critical
  • Report any deficiencies immediately to your supervisor or maintenance personnel
  • Other tasks such as but not limited to warehouse, shipping and general cleaning and other production specific processes
Key Skill and Personal Characteristics
  • Clear ability to understand and convert to metric from imperial and imperial to metric
  • Detail oriented
  • Team focused
  • Excellent attendance is a must
  • Must have reliable transportation
Education/Experience
  • High School diploma / GED
  • Previous factory experience is a plus
