Job Description
Sunpower Inc. is the world leader in Free-Piston Stirling Technology, in fact we invented it! Sunpower continues to implement Free-Piston Technology in our commercial line of CryoTel cryocoolers and our non-commercial Stirling engines. product portfolio proudly generates the most-cited research in the world. Sunpower, along with ORTEC and Scientific Instruments, is part of the Advanced Measurement Technology unit of AMETEK.
Summary:
The Assembler works as part of an assembly team having responsibility for creating individual components, sub-assemblies, and final assembly of the entire product. The incumbents are required to perform repetitive manufacturing assembly operations with little supervision.
Requirements:
Good communication (oral and written) skills.
Presents positive impact within the work group by assisting co-workers and engaging collaboratively.
Continuously develop skills through training, observation, and/or through additional education.
Demonstrated ability in plasma and laser welding, brazing, soldering, and hand assembly.
Experience reading mechanical drawings, process documents, and quality inspection documents.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
