Job Description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

- COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT/SHERWIN-WILLIAMS FOUNDATION:


Company community outreach

Support all aspects of sponsorship request through process and activation, including communication, documentation and reporting.
Support major annual fundraising campaigns, including vendor, employee, and nonprofit communication. Coordinate micro-site and offline fundraisers, in accordance with audit and accounting policies.

Support Sherwin-Williams Foundation

Prepare quarterly meeting materials and record meeting minutes. Ensure grant data is accurately captured and support grant payments.
Troubleshoot and support Employee/Retiree Matching Gifts program.

- STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:


Track and report key outcomes and impacts for Company and Foundation giving.
Support key internal communications regarding strategy, programs, and success, with specific attention to highlighting the contributions of employees and business alignment. Utilize a variety of communication channels, including intranet, SharePoint, Employee Giving Portal, email campaigns, etc.

- DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:


Collect data required to fulfill tax/legal requirements and ensure contributions are accurately and regularly documented, categorized and tracked.
Store/archive documents in compliance with Company record retention policies and ensure that data can be retrieved to support department goals.
Regularly review and update department standard operating procedures, supporting continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
Manage Government Affairs and HomeWork contracts including renewal schedule, entry into Coupa, receipt of services, and PO maintenance.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:


Current student, pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or related field.

Preferred:


December 2024 graduate

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:


Must be able to work 37.5 hours per week during summer break.
Must have an attention to detail, be proactive, flexible and creative in problem solving.
Demonstrated advanced communication (written and oral) skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently.

Preferred:


Process improvement experience.
Experience in professional community engagement role or related field.
