We are seeking to add a Transportation Engineering Intern/Co-op with 0 years of experience for our Bowling Green office.

Kleinfelder is seeking a motivated student interested in a paid cooperative education opportunity for the summer of 2024. This position will provide a challenging and rewarding work opportunity, offering exposure to a diverse range of engineering projects alongside a team focused on supporting and providing a learning culture.

Under the direction of experienced engineers, scientists and planners, the candidate will perform a variety of engineering support assignments for civil engineering projects. Assignments may include:
  • Drafting in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
  • Performing engineering calculations
  • Supporting the preparation of engineering reports and construction documents

The candidate will gain exposure to Transportation, Civil Site, Utility, and Water Resources projects.

Candidate should be enrolled in a Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.

Candidate should have relevant coursework or experience, including basic engineering fundamentals, as well as knowledge of and experience with current design specifications and standards.

Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, self-motivated, flexible, able to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace environment.

Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus.

The successful candidate must be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.

Additionally, the candidate must be capable of clear and concise verbal and written communication, have the ability to operate with moderate to minimal supervision and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor such as field investigations or assistance in construction oversight.
