POSITION DESCRIPTION/

A DevOps/Platform Engineer at Tangram Flex provides support to our software development team leveraging DevOps best practices in a team-based environment by using Cloud-Native technologies to create and manage CI/CD pipelines and application build environments.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/

Primary Responsibilities:

        Use Cloud-Native tech, AWS or AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes to provide engineering/IT services.

        Leverage DevOps best-practices in a team-based environment.

        Understand the benefits of Infrastructure-as-Code paradigms.

        Configure Observability tools to identify issues and performance degradation.

        Identify and evaluate tools to adopt to improve Platform Team workflows.

        Create and execute backup / restore / disaster-recovery plans for services.

        Working with other software engineers to improve software delivery workflow.

        Ability to triage and repair code automation pipelines.

        Identify opportunities for pipeline caching and improvement.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE /

Required:

        Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a similar industry role such as software deployment, software engineering, DevOps or DevSecOps.

        Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

        Demonstrated proficiency with AWS or other cloud services, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux/Bash scripting.

        Familiarity in Gitlab CI/CD or alternatives.

        Ability to travel to prospective and existing customer facilities.

        Ability to work flexible hours.  

Preferred:

        5+ years experience in software deployment, software engineering, DevOps or DevSecOps.

        Experience with other scripting tools: Python, JavaScript, Go.

        Familiarity with container/dependency scanning tools.

        AWS, AWS GovCloud, Terraform

        Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

        Familiarity with Gitlab, Nextcloud, Okta, Prometheus/Grafana
