OhioMeansJobs| Cleveland - Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a Marketplace Associate for a Manufacturing Company in Cleveland

This position provides customer service in the marketplace by assisting customers in the completion of orders of food and nonfood products. This position ensures the efficient flow of product into and out of the marketplace. This position assists customers with order pick-ups and maintains high standards of warehouse sanitation and safety. Performance of the following duties is done personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

• Assists customers with orders in the marketplace including: assistance loading vehicles, weighing of product and ensuring that customers’ orders are complete and that customers are following the rules of the marketplace.
• Works closely with the Produce and Perishables Supervisor to ensure that available product is placed in the marketplace for distribution. Transfers product from storage site (freezer, cooler or dry) to the display areas in the marketplace.
Assists in delivering staged product to customer vehicles for pick-up and marketplace orders.
• Opens bales, crates, and other product containers, taking caution to not alter products during handling and staging. Once staging of product is complete, arranges stock in an orderly fashion so that assembly by other workers is convenient and efficient.
• Assists in inventory counting as requested or instructed by supervisor.
• Maintains required job knowledge and skills and core professional competencies. Attends and participates in required educational programs and staff meetings.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse sanitation and safety at all times. Ensures that empty pallets and production packaging are removed from aisle ways, cooler and freezer, and marketplace.
• Provide housekeeping services for the warehouse areas and other areas, as scheduled, or necessary, to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and pest control.
• Immediately reports to supervisor any repairs that are necessary or required, ensuring that facility and equipment is properly maintained.
• Removes dangerous conditions prior to an accident or injury occurring (i.e., water spill clean-up, etc.).
• Turns in Scrap sheet and product transfer sheets daily, or more frequently, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Environment
The physical requirements for this position include: Occasional ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office and to access truck cab and deliver product constantly. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Ability to ascend/descend stairs to access work spaces frequently. Ability to position or move body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment constantly. Ability to constantly be able to exchange accurate information, take and give direction and hear safety warnings. Ability to constantly inspect product, judge distance between equipment, shelves and permanent structures. Ability to frequently detect spoiled product or quality of meals. Ability to move office equipment/supplies constantly. Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
