Gannett Fleming's Ohio Operations is looking for a Roadway Designer / Engineer to join ourgrowing and dynamic team in Cleveland or Columbus Ohio!



In this role you will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of project managers and engineers on a wide array of projects. The range of design opportunities will include roadway and intersection improvements, bridge replacements, drainage and grading improvements, intelligent transportation systems, and highways and interchange projects with ODOT and locals.

Working closely with supervisors and mentors, you will have the opportunity to:

Participate in planning, preliminary design and detail design for infrastructure projects including municipal roads and highways
Prepare engineering design drawings, sketches, and layouts using an array of software platforms
Work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Prepare material quantity and cost estimates
Provide technical writing input to proposals, feasibility studies, design criteria and other reports/memorandums
Attend internal and external meetings with the team

Education | Experience:
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited university
Between 0-5 years of experience in design of transportation engineering projects
Experience in preparing detailed design contract drawings and packages preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification
Experience with Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer
Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Ability to multi-task and manage workload on various projects simultaneously
Initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude
