Job Description

Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? B&N is looking for an entry level Geologist to join our team in Columbus, OH. This position will work on a variety of interesting projects and offers growth for professional and personal development split between office and in the field.

B&N Geologist Responsibilities

  • Working with a team of professionals, collect and evaluate environmental data and install sample collection points
  • Develop your skills performing on-site field sampling of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water to assess projects sites
  • Under the direction of experienced staff, perform data reduction, evaluation and minor report writing for projects related to brownfield redevelopment and restoration

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Hydrogeology, Geology or other related Earth or Soil science
  • 0-5 years of experience, prior experience in preparing, reviewing and interpreting geologic data is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required, experience with ArcGIS preferred
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight stays
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills

Travel arrangements to and from work assignments including airfare, hotel, and meals are reimbursed. Of course, all safety training, equipment, tools and tech are provided.
