Basic Job Functions:


Serves as the Quality Assurance Lead for technology solutions related to First Solar's applications and systems to ensure timely deliverables that are of the highest quality. Provides leadership and guidance to First Solar project teams, testers, and consultants.

Education/Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent years of work experience.
5+ years of related work experience.

Required Skills/Competencies:


Experience in test execution of complex, global projects.
Must be able to present testing strategy and results to the project teams. Must have proven experience in developing presentations to sell ideas, present root cause analysis and strategy ideas.
Ability to manage offshore testing centers.
Experience in training and coaching others on testing processes and techniques.
Proven understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Quality Lifecycle including client-server-database relationships of varying technologies.
Experience with Tricentis qTest and Tosca preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:


Responsible for test strategy development and managing testing execution for system implementations and change requests for First Solar's Business Applications.
Participating in project planning, requirements analysis, and design discussions.
Reviewing or executing test cases and capturing their results.
Reviewing test results to ensure they are accurate and meet expected results.
Tracking and reporting the status of defects and escalating issues as needed until resolution is achieved.
Reviewing business processes with end-users to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and translating them into solid test scripts/plans.
Communicating test status with business customers and project team members, soliciting changes and/or feedback and updating the test plan/strategy as appropriate.
Organizing and collaborating with various resources (both internal and external) to drive resolution of issues or completion of tasks/projects.
Training First Solar Associates in QA practices, procedures, and techniques.
Performing audit inspections and reviewing project documentation at points throughout the development life cycle of a project to ensure all deliverables, processes, business rules, assumptions, and change requests are addressed.
Administering the testing platform application as needed.
Manage the daily activities of the onshore and offshore testing teams by assigning tasks, reviewing progress, and providing coaching to the team.
Collaborating with the resource manager to review testing resource needs and escalate any resourcing issues.
Communicating and coordinating testing resource needs, schedules, and commitments with the offshore test lead.
Conducting training sessions on First Solar testing processes, procedures, tools, templates, etc.
Conducting peer and project reviews and providing feedback on any of the testing deliverables for all the testing service offerings.
Manage updates and keep the Testing Center of Excellence and all supporting documents up to date.
Overseeing the regression testing center to ensure all scripts are properly updated and able to be executed during each regression run.
Present testing update to CIO and other executives as needed.
Working across a global company, including occasional work outside of US business hours as needed.

Estimated Annual Salary Range:


$80,000 - $110,000 Estimated Annual Salary Range
