Overview




The Staff Accountant will perform a scope of work involving maintaining or managing the general accounting function including but not limited to: preparation of journal entries, reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, preparation of financial reports, preparation of customer invoices, and preparation of account distributions in accordance with GAAP, the FAR and Government contracts specifications.



This position is located at our corporate office in Fremont Ohio.



Salary range for this position will be between $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience.


Responsibilities




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Prepares month end adjusting entries as required
Prepares monthly depreciation and prepaid account entries
Transmits payroll information to payroll provider
Processes vendor invoices in a timely fashion
Coordinates vendor payments
Assists in issuing tax documents at end of year to employees and vendors
Reviews project costing including labor distribution and materials
Maintains employee personnel files pertaining to payroll set up
Assist organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, consolidation, cost control, and project control
Analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses
Assists in various audits throughout the year
Assists in the development of financial/accounting concepts for financial planning and control
Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
Will back up all key functional areas of the accounting organization


Qualifications




This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Spring 2023 graduates are considered eligible)
Must be a U.S. citizen
Strong Microsoft Excel skills is desired
