Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for developing and administering multiple functions within Enterprise Risk Management. Will lead a cross functional team to identify common threads of risk management. This position will be essential in the assessment and communication of risk issues across the Bank and to executive management.

Job Duties:

Assess and communicate the risk condition of the Bank to executive management.
Lead a cross functional team (Compliance, Information Security, ALCO, Credit Risk,etc.) to identify common methods of risk assessment.
Conduct an assessment of potential third-party Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platforms, provide a recommended solution to management and implement system once approved. Role will be responsible for the on-going oversight of the risk system.
Identify and implement a comprehensive risk assessment process for use across the organization.
Prepare materials for the Credit & Risk Management Committee, Board of Directors and Executive Staff of the Bank.
Develop, implement and administer a program and system for policy management.
Oversee and provide insight and recommendations into the Banks insurance coverage.
Provide effective challenge to the first line of defense.
Will assist in the design of the annual risk appetite statement.
Will support the Chief Risk Officer.
Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or other related field.
Minimum 7 years experience in a risk management role within a financial service firm.
Familiarity with risk systems architecture and assessment methods.
Experience in preparing senior level report packages and comfort communicating technical concepts in common language.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a continually changing environment.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving and writing skills.
Strong technical and data relationship skills required with experience in statistical modeling preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Must be detailed oriented and well organized.
Strong interpersonal communication skills - peers, management and external parties.
Must be a team player.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration.
7-10 years experience in financial services risk management.
