Job Summary




Reporting to our SVP and General Counsel, this position will provide day-to-day global support for Meridian's non-FDA compliance and CSR programs including, but not limited to, trade compliance, anti-corruption compliance, competition/antitrust compliance, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, Code of Ethics, GDPR/Privacy law, Government Contracting, Conflict Minerals compliance, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), etc.


Key Duties




Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to day support of the implementation and operation of the Company's compliance program, which includes:

Conducting/facilitating risk assessments to identify and rank key risk areas
Developing and drafting compliance policies and procedures
Developing and providing training on compliance areas
Conducting third party risk assessments on new contractors, consultants, agents or other sales intermediaries
Monitoring the Company's compliance hotline, developing investigation plans and assisting with internal investigations and related reports and documentation
Developing risk dashboard and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the compliance program and reporting on the same
Monitoring and researching new developments in compliance areas and reporting on the same
Working with external auditors on compliance focused audits
Interacting with third party consultants on compliance initiatives such as Conflict Minerals reporting

Supporting the Company's CSR program, which includes:
Developing sustainability metrics and gathering internal CSR related data
Preparing an annual sustainability report
Developing and drafting CSR related policies and procedures
Responding to vendor and customer questionnaires regarding Meridian CSR policies and programs
Interacting with third party CSR consultants regarding the program
Interacting with third party auditors, such as EcoVadis, regarding the Company's CSR program
Developing dashboards and internal reports regarding CSR related metrics

Other Duties/Physical Requirement:

Ability to sit in meetings and/or in front of a computer for long periods of time.
Must be able to analyze and interpret data.
Must be able to concentrate and problem solve routinely.


Qualifications




Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required/Preferred:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a similar role and organization
Minimum 3 years' experience in a compliance role required
Experience working with a multi-national corporation highly preferred
Knowledge of lean/six sigma tools a plus

Competencies Required or preferred:

Excellent analytical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to assess the importance of phone calls, emails, or documents and take appropriate action to involve the appropriate people quickly and accurately.
Demonstrated proficiency with excel and PowerPoint, as well as with developing/maintaining databases
Experience with and ability to present training to groups
Ability to analyze complex data and present reports
Ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders, as well as ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships with all levels of employees within the business
Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision-making skills in a multi-cultural environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills. (Clear, Concise and Honest).
