Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for measuring and monitoring operational risk within Bank to prevent risk and fraud. Will be responsible for the Third Party (i.e. vendor) Risk Program. Will identify and implement a comprehensive risk assessments and ensure proper testing occurs to validate the risk for processes and procedures as well as products and systems.

Job Duties:

Assess and communicate the risk condition of the Bank to executive management.
Identify and implement a comprehensive risk assessment process for use across the organization.
Conduct periodic risk assessments of risk categories, departments, lines of business and other specialized areas.
Manage the new product and services risk assessment processes.
Will be responsible for the Third Party (i.e. vendor) Risk Progam.
Develop and implement a company wide issue and incident management program.
Work alongside various departments to monitor and assess fraud exposure.
Work with the Information Security team in monitoring systems vulnerabilities and testing results.
Assist in the management of the ERM GRC systems platform.
Conduct process and control testing of operations in coordination with Compliance and Information Technology.
Prepare materials for the Credit & Risk Management Committee, Board of Directors and Executive Staff of the Bank.
Provide effective challenge to the first line of defense.
Assist in the design of the annual risk appetite statement.
Will support the Chief Risk Officer.
Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or other related field
7-10 years experience in an operational risk management role within a financial service company.
Experience in preparing senior level report packages and comfort communicating technical concepts in common language.
Experience with GRC platforms and risk technology.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a continually changing environment.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving and writing skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Must be detailed oriented and well organized.
Strong interpersonal communication skills - peers, management and external parties.
Must be a team player.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics
7 years experience in financial services operational risk management
