At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Packaging Supervisor - Nights based in Minster, Ohio!

We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual with a proven track record in leadership to join our team as the night shift Packaging Supervisor. Your leadership will be instrumental in leading a dedicated night shift team to enhance team performance, meet targets, and contribute to the overall success of our operations.

The primary responsibilities of a supervisor are to effectively lead and supervise the employees on your crew and ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly production KPIs are met for SQCDMN (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, and Nature).



In this role, you will be responsible for:

Maintain an effective Daily Management System (Short Interval Management)
Analyze the performance of the lines throughout the shift.
Prioritize short and long-term actions, ensuring timely and effective completion of all deliverables.
Provide leadership to the team.
Ensure development of competencies and skills amongst the team
Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives through IWS (reducing costs and elevating productivity) and the DaMaWay methodologies (problem solving, autonomous management, etc.)
Help operators to develop/improve SOP's.
Assist in proactively determining the need for repair and/or replacement of equipment and or/components.
Partner with the technical and/or engineering teams to support all projects.
Problem solving collaboration leading to sustainable preventative measure execution.
Other responsibilities require the ability to lift a minimum of 30lb, stamina and endurance (e.g., walking, standing for long hours), and the availability to work 12-hour shifts.

ABOUT YOU:

You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Mechanical / Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain Management, etc.) and have 2 - 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/processing environment, required. Previous supervisory experience within a food environment is preferred. Prior experience in dairy manufacturing and/or leadership experience within a union environment is a plus. If no degree completed, equivalent combination of work experience and education will be considered.
You are self-motivated, working independently toward departmental objectives, and have excellent analytical, trouble shooting, conflict management and problem-solving skills.
You have experience in lean manufacturing methodologies and strong problem-solving skills.
You have meticulous work ethic and keen awareness to detail.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and tasks.
